Football Journalists pro /anti West Ham.
Who's your favourite or those you hate?

Although there are a lot of football journos who support West ham we do seem to of copped a lot of flak over the years albeit they have always been given plenty of ammo to use
.
I recall Harry Harris continually writing a pack of lies about us every time I picked up the Mirror.
The likes of the forever virtue signaling Oliver Holt another one I cant abide same with two Custis brothers who don't seem capable of writing an original true story between them.

Ken Dyer remains loyal to the cause though and new Talksport boss Neil Ashton.
Bryan Shepherd was always worth a read too.

Harry Harris is the most anti West ham one of all . As soon as I saw he was leading the tevez nonsense I knew the spuds were behind it . As venables found out after he got the push .

You can't get more pro board then that drunk handsy cunt Hugh.

I fucking love Hugh as he will just eat the shit the Sullivan shovels. Got to be sad for Hugh that he has to be paid off the payroll because of his past behaviour.

Steinberg is a massive cunt, nearly on the same level as Levene.

I remember being at an England U-21 game years ago at Upton Park. I sat in a decent seat and the journalist in fron of me was playing Hearts on his laptop and left early.

You don't know the half of it geep. You get 9.30pm print deadlines for a match that finishes at 9.45pm

Oliver Holt fucking despises West Ham for some reason. Absolutely hates us. Not sure why. He was one of the most rabid hacks trying to sway opinion against us with the Sheff Utd thing. He was also against our move saying we were bribing the tax player. Backed Ferguson with a piece about our players cheating when we done them cunts to lose them the league. Bloke fucking has it right in for us.

Samuel, and Dyer are massive West Ham.

Re: Football Journalists pro /anti West ham.
Martin Samuel is definitely West Ham. When we were hauled through the courts over Tevezgate I saw the name of the Sheffield MP who was particularly vocal about our disgraceful wrongdoing and the punishment that should be given and was going to take the case to Parliament if necessary. I remembered that he’d been involved in some kind of scandal a few years before , found the story ( involved a rent boy and fiddling expenses ) and emailed it to Martin Samuel who I think was at the Daily Mail at the time. He splashed a great story next day across the back pages about the hypocrisy of McCabe and the mouthy MP and he carried on a tirade against them for weeks after that. Ken Dyer is Mr West Ham though.

Do you mean Rob Shepherd? is a West Ham fan, but dropped off the scene.

Talksport boss is Lee Clayton. Neil Ashton now works at Man Utd.

You are all over the shop, fella.

Always liked Martin Samuel. Jason Burt and Sam Wallace are very good.

Matt Law from the Telegraph is in my good books for now, because he more than anyone else has accurately reflected West Ham fans’ feelings and has shown GSB up for what they are.

I've read too many reports where the journo hasn't bothered to watch the second half* to pay them much attention.

*It's how they turn a three hour job into an hour and a half one - instead of watching the whole thing, making notes, and writing it up after, they watch the first half, write it up in the second, and add the second half stats at the end.

For some strange reason, it's got worse since the days when a freshly printed paper would be available on the way home, so deadlines HAD to be fairly tight

I would like to insert the head of Henry Winter between the jaws of a workshop vice and then give him a clean shirt for the journey home...

The athletic writers are generally decent and provide balanced articles

Roshane who covers West Ham produced some good articles, wish he would go bit tougher on the board though
